MOPs are TOPS!!

So what do you think, guys? Mother-of-Pearl dials do give so much class and distinction to any watch!!

Nuts - I thought you said MODS are tops. I'm deleting this thread - it's useless.

Of all of them, only the DD looks really good in MOP.

I like MOP on the Datejust. Not in favor of it on the professional models. Just my opinion.

More like a flop. I'm not a MOP guy, too bling for me. Now a 100 diamond and ruby dial on the other hand

This weekend we looked at this Sinn for the wife:

Since I had bought a watch 15 minutes earler we decided to take a pass on it for now, but it's really nice on a bracelet. Certainly something for her to consider down the road.

Not a fan of MOP on men's watches.

I must agree with Al on this one, not really for men's watches IMO.
Bring on the SS!

I think some watches look superb with the MOP dial. The problem with a purely natural element like MOP is that you have no assurance what each piece is going to look like. Some beautifully reflect intense coloration and others are totally bland. If I ordered a watch and paid for a MOP dial ($$$$) that turned out dull I'd be major pissed.
