Congrats!! It certainly is a big “ooof” when dropping that kind of coin on a heavy hitter lol. Happiness justifies the insanity of this hobby sometimes so as long as you’re smiling it’s only money I suppose. Enjoy and wear it in the best of health

Why are you writing a check? You should use credit card and get the point equal 2% cash back unless you get 2% discount for paying cash.
It’s an annoying story of bad timing. You’re absolutely right.

Spectacular. Big congratulations. As John Mayer says, I'm paraphrasing here but, that feeling you got writing the check is part of the excitement of it. I wish you all the best.

Says John Mayer who doesn't really have to worry about money ....

Thanks for the words of encouragement. No doubt there's excitement to the transaction! Thanks for your good wishes!

Couldn’t happen to a nicer guy. After the shock wears off you will be happy you pulled the trigger on this one, particularly in view of new release Daytona rumors.

I was concerned about legibility, too. But it's very good. The WG hands really catch any light in the room very well, and they contrast easily and well with the blue dial, which is a bright sunburst in the sunlight but much darker (for better contrast) indoors.
