Rolex Daytona 116500LN White Ceramic - Weight, no bracelet, end links or strap

I tried searching the forum / ref library and didn’t find anything online on this either. Please let me know if there is info I missed somewhere.

Here’s my question to the lucky owners of the Daytona 116500LN white dial: What is the weight of your watch head alone in grams, without a bracelet, end links or a strap?

I am reading conflicting numbers online which either include partial bracelet or full (unsure of # of links from these articles).

Thanks in advance

Are you holding that one? Weigh it.

It's a small, light and low profile watch that wears like it isn't even there. Unless you're trying to replicate the weight of a Daytona I don't know why it matters.

Don’t have a weighing device and online resources are pretty thin with this piece of info. Do you own one?

As an engineer, can you really not think of a reason why the OP would want to know the weight? It matters because that’s what he asked.

Don't know why do you question the reason for the question. He wants to know the weight without the bracelet. You gave zero information on that. Sorry OP, don't have the daytona to weight it for you :)

I know it doesn't help but just as a FYI. There is an app that you can download on your phone and you can simply put the item on the phone and use it as a digital scale.

No, it's real. It's right next to another app that tells you your blood cholesterol when you hold the phone over your arm.

Not sure what phone you use but if you use am iPhone, it leverage the same technology as the force touch (+/-10grams variance). Again, just if you desperately need something and all we carry around these days is our phones.

Not sure if it's sarcasm or what... but I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and say yes what you said is also true.

It exists, but it is not accurate with weights. More of a novelty I suppose

About 68 grams OP, watch head only no end links or bracelet.

About 108 grams on Everest strap with Rolex buckle.

About 140 grams full bracelet from AD.

A precise weight would likely be a very good way to sniff out a super fake. No clue why the OP was asking but that was the first thing that came to my mind, that he may be trying to validate authenticity.

Thank you.

I have now ordered a digital kitchen scale. Will cross check. Going to need this longer term for the hobby I guess.

The full bracelet weight correlates to what I have seen online. (Not my pic)

This has actually existed since the original 2007 iPhones were able to be jailbroken. I had the app back in 2008-ish, if I remember correctly.

The app (at the time) didn't turn the screen of the iPhone into a digital scale, rather it relied on measuring the center of gravity of the phone while being balanced on your finger, then measured the displacement of the center of gravity after something (that you wanted to weigh) was placed on the phone screen. It effectively measured displacement (like a seesaw or balance scale) and attempted to approximate the weight in grams via that displacement.

Cool concept, but not incredibly precise.

Not sure if this is sarcasm, but this kind of app ALSO exists, but for measuring blood sugar levels. Albeit with the use of a monitor that's placed on your skin.

The device is the "Dexcom G6" and the accompanying app links via bluetooth.

Ok I weighed it with a borrowed digital scale. It is a match for the head only weight. Thanks
