36MM Datejust Wimbledon

Not sure if this is the first time, but it looks like the Slate Wimbledon dial is now available on a 36mm

The Datejust 36mm legendary benchmark is back.

The speculators thinking the Wimbledon dial was supposed to be discontinued got a bit burned on that one.

Rolex is signaling that it hasn't forgotten its core 36 mils.

Not a bad move, to be honest, 36mm new dials aren't bad, the blue fluted dial looks cool and might drop the normal blue a bit, the new blue fluted is like an iteration of the classic tapestry dial, but this time the direction is horizontal instead of the vertical of the tapestry 3 decades ago. Nice twist with a modern feel.

The palm dial looks like it can be a hit, they took something from the Grand Seiko playbook with the high details/nature-esque dials. This would be a banger for the summer or any place that experiences nice summers, or perpetual ones like Singapore.

At this rate what I'm seeing is that Wimbledon dial is not leaving for quite a while. Get it while you can.

I agree!

All these guys speculating the end of the Slate dial and hoarding stocks for secondary sale etc was annoying to hear. But glad that they decided to launch it on a 36MM!!

I am strongly considering getting one for my father now!
