Thinking behind 6 digit Pepsi releases?
2014- wg black dial on oyster is released
2018- the wg black dial oyster is discontinued. The wg blue dial on oyster AND the ss black dial on jubilee are released. Movement is upgraded the 3285. Side note: Tudor releases the black bay gmt with a pepsi bezel as well. 2019- wg meteorite dial oyster is released. 2021- Rolex now sells ss black dial on jubilee or oyster, along with the wg blue dial or meteorite dial on oyster. And to keep things interesting, the wg black dials can get an official blue dial swap and there are now up to 3 versions of the bezel? Now the cheapest (per msrp) Rolex pepsi gmt is the ss black dial with oyster at $9,500, which now is a ss version of the wg version released in 2014. What a nutty history, I’m no vintage guy but this history seems more like Rolex of the past vs. Rolex of today. Certainly makes it interesting though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Yeah I think Rolex threw itself off by releasing a Pepsi in WG to start with.
