I think the absolute measurement isn't the problem. I love the look, and want to see one in person, but the slab sided case is the main reservation from me. I regularly wear a sd4k which is about 15mm I believe but a chunk of that is the protruding case back and some is the crystal. The case flank doesn't come across as overly thick so it can pull off what on paper appears to be bulky dimensions.

I really want to like this as I love the dials but need to see how it wears in person.

i need to SINCERELY thank you for this tip, because i just tried it with my Black Bay and it is lifechanging. The clasp no longer juts into my wrist, and i had no idea that I could take out that extra link with the spring bar in the clasp! Now i'm almost certain I have to get a chrono, if it wears even better than what I have on now.
