Very Interesting Move By Zenith

Seems like a great idea to me for Zenith to be buying vintage pieces, restoring them and reselling them, and I guess Zenith figures that it will boost demand for their current offerings if their older vintage models sell for higher/rising prices. Looks like Rolex envy to me also.

Interesting. Zenith is a brand that has found it's footing again and they are making some great models.

A boutique brand called Linde Werdelin started doing this a couple of years ago too. They are small and I am not sure how successful they have been with reselling their own pre-owned pieces.

Vacheron has been doing this for several years. It's an interesting way to present the vintage watch world to people who prefer the certainty of new timepieces.

VC also has a selection at their NYC boutique. I was invited to attend a Zoom presentation displaying the models for sale. A brand new 70 year old watch with a manufacturer warranty is a unique option for collectors.

I think it’s a good move by Zenith and a win for all, vintage seller, collector and Zenith.

The seller is dealing with spot on company, collector- buyer can obtain a no risk purchase of a vintage piece in top nick with all the bonafides and Zenith further builds its brand.

I like it Zenith really is a brand deserving of more airtime here.

I’m curious how this digital passport works.
