I don't think that the original post and 2nd post could be more perfect.

It’s pretty silly when you think about it, isn’t it

I used to be a sales person at a Rolex AD. This happened fairly often. It's quite sad to have to tell someone who saved up for their "dream Rolex" that their $500-$3,000 wasn't enough to get even the entry-level Rolex.

Lol. Walked pass 3 ADs today. Lady TT DJs galore. Men TT DJs with diamonds available too. Not the easiest time to get a first Rolex from an AD. They did have Tudor 58s.

I was expecting an attempt to buy an OP (my first Rolex was a 36mm OP for under $3k). I could see that actually happening. My buddies at work both want Daytonas as their first Rolex. One ended up with a DJ41 and the other is wearing a TAG. I've clarified the likelihood of a snow ball in hell to both of them.

Yea the shortage is hilarious.....it’s soo much easier to make a diamond 2tone and apparently anybody can make a Tudor.......but a sports model we have to wait for the heavens to part and the man to come down LOL, what a joke

I thought Ink's reply was funnier than the OP. But that's me.

Ha... it's funny and super sad. I have just enough to buy a Pepsi (retail + tax.) Crazy world we're living in.
