Today I'm wearing my Esslinger "Classic 40" which arrived as a $199 kit that I assembled over a few hours last week. The movement is a Seiko NH35 visible through a sapphire display case back.
It loses an average of 5 seconds per day, which is OK for $40 automatic mechanical movement.

I'm leaning heavily to picking up a Laureato Chrono, are they as good as they say they r?

I'm seriously considering a Laureato Chrono myself in the near future. I really like the silver panda dial for myself. Girard Perregaux watches are right up there with the 3 holy trinity brands as far as build quality, unique designs, and thin, fine, and very accurate movements. Let me know when you pull trigger! |
