I abused my Sub!!!

I just returned from a short vacation in West Africa. While there I went to the beach and actually swam with my rolex !!! I know it is waterproof but still I felt very nervous about immersing it in the Atlantic Ocean . Well I really had nothing to be afraid off. Watch was fine, I was in the water for about 2 hours, Hey there were some nice KLM flight attendants in there too !!! I just made sure I rinsed it with fresh water when I got out. I just love this watch.
The main point of this post is that while on the beach I was approached by this guy selling an assortment of watches. I am not an expert so I can't really determine authenticity, but I'm sure they were all fakes. I casually asked him if he had a Rolex. He turned around and made a hand gesture and some other guy appears out of nowhere and pulls a two tone daytona out of his pocket. I am sure it was a fake because it had Daytona 24 engraved on the case back. Beautiful looking watch. Of course, he did not have a box or papers. He wanted $300 US for it. He was very impressed with my sub and said he could get one just like it. Needless to say I did not purchase the daytona from him. He absolutely would not let me photograph the Rolex though he let me photograph the other watches.

The brown thing is just a wad of cardboard covered in tape which helps him to hold a bunch of watches in his hand.

These guys are really good at magic and sleight of hand. Are you sure you've come home with your original Sub?

Actually, there's an easy way of telling.... did you swim in the Atlantic after you met them? Is your watch still OK?
