Tudor BB58 steel leather or soft touch

I am considering adding a steel BB58 with either a leather or blue soft touch strap. Has anyone had much experience with these? Any pics? I see lots of good feedback on the BB58 on bracelet but want something a little different, so thought I’d try a strap.

I'd get the bracelet if I'm honest with you .. try some straps later.

Straps also tend to make it feel a little smaller, if that's a concern.

+1

Think always better / cheaper to buy on bracelet and later add straps later than the other way around

After I bought the BB 925 in leather strap somehow I felt it wears bigger than BB58 in bracelet I used to try on last year.

Have to agree.

Get it on the steel bracelet then there’s lots of good quality reasonably priced after market straps out there to have fun with. I’ve got leather straps, NATO’s, MN straps and a nice blue Vanguard Silicon one.

Got the Blue on the soft touch strap last September. Added the Vanguard Blue Rubber strap in February.

As you can see from my signature, I have lots of watches in Bracelets and wanted something different from the Tudor. I’m also not scared to scratch it like I would be on a more expensive watch.

This watch actually gets a lot of wrist time because the rubber is great in the pool and the soft touch strap looks great with white or blue dress shirts. And yes, it does look smaller but that is why I bought the 58 to begin with. Let us know what you decide.

Buy steel and the strap. You won’t regret it, and should you ever want to sell, it’ll be much much easier.

Buy it on the bracelet - price difference is only 375 USD, I believe. Can obtain straps from Tudor dealer or aftermarket straps from anywhere. I think the bracelet is excellent at that price point. I wish it had more "quick adjust" holes in the clasp and the ability to add a half link - don't think either would be too much to ask at that price, but I was able to fit it to my wrist, if not perfectly, within in a few mm. BTW, a toothpick end works perfectly for the quick adjust without scratching for this watch.

I just got one yesterday. I own the BB Heritage 41 mm and regretted almost immediately not buying that one on the bracelet, even though it works fine on straps.

I got mine on the soft touch because it was the only one available in the case at the time. Ordered the steel bracelet, which took two weeks to get, and haven't switched back since. But my preference is always bracelet > strap. The strap does seem to be well made though. In fact, kind of tempted to try it out again now...

Depends if you already have a watch you like on bracelet. I wear my Black bay almost exclusively on leather and fabric straps that I interchange, even though I bought it on a steel bracelet. The BB just lends itself to straps better, so I say go for it if that’s what you want. However it’s always good to have one watch on a metal bracelet.

I recently purchased a Yacht Master 40 blue dial from my AD, which sits alongside my Datejust 36, so really not looking for another bracelet at the moment - plus I just don’t like the fake rivets, and lack of adjustment.
