'04 Sub with Date and all?
It shows wear with a minor edge ding on case; all else in order (boxes, paperwork, BOS, etc.). Last maintained in '06. Is $4300 reasonable? Looking at my first Rolex. Interested in opinions towards purchase tomorrow.
Thanks, Lee |

Welcome to the Forum!
All depends on condition, you say its an 04 and serviced in 06 ?! A picture would go a long way.. Check our for sale section and compare prices / condition. |

It has a lot of wear.
If you are purchasing at a store, + tax, and considering it will need a polish and most likely an overhaul soon, you are looking at the high $4Ks. Hard to tell where the ding is. I would say the price is on the high end. |

It is a purchase from the origninal owner. Yes, time for a service no doubt. Clean-up is optional. Not tax on this one so the price would be pretty much it plus what I can get it serviced for.

Going back through some of my earliest posts and thinking about how much things have changed; I'd jump on this in less than a heartbeat today!!!

The first Rolex I ever handled was the original Sub LV around 2009 at a Torneau. I had recently purchased my first nice watch, a co-axial "Bond" Seamaster and couldn't believe they wanted $6k for something with a bracelet that felt like it was lifted from a $200 Seiko.
Still my favorite watch of all time though. The new ceramic LV is nice, but I prefer the 5 digit Sub size and the much more saturated green color of the aluminum bezel. |

My first post 15 years ago was about Sub (16610) vs. SD (16600). I went with something else to save myself some money. Lord how I wish I'd just bought both (plus a Pepsi GMT).
