More Pay It Forward Threads?

I loved the last one and it was cool to see the new two-tone Explorer go to a true WIS. Is it against the terms of the forums to keep doing threads like that?

Most Moderators will take fat bribes for off-topic threads.

I think a quick PM to Steve as a heads up, and to get any guidance he’d suggest, is wise. We have a long tradition of people doing a quick swag giveaway as long as there is no funding involved.

I won a great TUMI case from VTCguy, Paul D. in a random post drawing. I still use it for my iPad Pro at the track.

If I recall correctly, the raffle was for a chance to buy a watch the offeror had an AD hold for him. So it’s really a drawing for an option to make and offer at retail to an AD. The winner still had to pass the AD “sniff” test for flipperitis

I’m still hunting for a BLNR and a ND sub…it has been very difficult to get any traction.

A sales thread is still a sales thread, regardless of who the ad is being presented by or for.

I thought it was cool and a great way to share among the community. Maybe there could be a special sub thread for "paying it forward"

I remember quite a few threads prepandemic where someone would pass on a watch and announce it was available at their AD/ask their SA to sell it to someone on their behalf. I remember a Rootbeer in DFW in specific.

Loved reading the previous thread and I'm glad the watch made its way to someone who will enjoy it.

Haha well, I was actually offered a Tudor GMT. Not the rarest pull from the safe, but I went ahead a picked it up and hope to find someone who has been looking for one.
