Rolex 116622 Platinum Bezel Service @ RSC-HK
Hi guys,
Recently I got some scratches on the bezel of my 116622 Blue Dial (the matte finished area) . I know it’s normal to get some scratches on it but I still want to get more information on whether the RSC could service it. It is so disappointed that the RSC in HK claimed that they won’t offer any reconditioning for the bezel except for full bezel replacement. I have google online and saw RSC form other countries do have reconditioning service for the bezel when they service their yacht master at their local RSC. Just feeling so disappointed that the RSC in HK won’t offer this service. Meanwhile I will have to look for third party watch repair agents on the market to get it done and risking the parts my Rolex bring replaced during the repairing process. Just want to share this to you guys and want to see any Yacht Master buddies out there have the same issue or whether you will get your bezel serviced or not. :) |

Sorry to hear OP, that's so strange HK RSC won't offer the refinishing of the bezel. You might want to check in other places, maybe Singapore?
I'm in Spain and I was told by the local RSC they would refinish the bezel as part of the overhaul with no extra charge. This is only for minor superficial scratches from normal use, no deep scratches, dings and gouges, which would require a bezel replacement indeed. Care to share some picture of your bezel so that we can have a better idea of how deep those scratches are? |

Quite sad that I have asked the staff at RSC-HK specifically, whether the reconditioning service during the overall service of my watch includes the bezel and they replied that the technician will only refinish the strap only and leaves the bezel untouched… not too sure if they have specific standards or guidelines in RSC-HK or simply the front desks staff was not having sufficient knowledge on whether the technician could actually refinish the bezel. Probably I should just put down my watch at RSC for a service and see if they will refinish the bezel for me at last? haha |
