Your Significant Other and Watches

I’ve had a lot of cool watches over the years - SD4K, Pepsi, Explorer II, but my wife’s favorite by far was the Air-King. I really liked the Air-King too but certainly not my favorite. She thinks my Explorer is super boring by comparison.

I’m curious which watch in your collection is your significant other’s favorite? Include some pictures please as they always make threads more enjoyable.

This one is by far my SO’s favorite! She has been eyeing it in case I ever get tired of it

My wife likes DJ’s, she has a TT and has her eyes set on a SS version to use as her daily watch, she also tries to pick my watches but our tastes differ, thankfully.

Her Milgauss Z-Blue, which used to be my Milgauss Z-Blue. Since that watch crossed over collections she has admired my TT white Sky Dweller the most. The loves the aesthetic. She has tried it on and concluded that it is too big and too heavy for her to wear. Shame!

She really likes my 116613LB too and we could share it via the Glidelock. She rocks a bigger watch well. I keep forgetting to wear it when we are out and about together. Can't think why.

my wife could care less about my watches (or hers for that matter). if forced to choose, she'd probably pick my sub since she favors the clean look of black and steel.

Same here. She has a silver Rolex OP that she rarely wears.

My wife is an artist and plays tennis almost on a daily basis. She loves her Apple Watch.

Same here! My wife has a beautiful OP and rarely wears it. She likes her Apple Watch for tracking her steps. When she does wear it, it really elevates her outfits!

I can see why! That's a really clean good looking watch. What else is in the collection?

That’s exactly what my wife wears.

Bought her a Lady Datejust for her 40th, but a few years ago we spotted the Air King at a good price and now the smaller one never gets worn.

My wife has this exact piece and whenever she’s not wearing it she’s rocking a white Milgauss on a white rubber strap.

I find it very feminine looking and she wears it very well - the Milgauss is definitely her favorite.

My wife has two Tudors--BB58 and Ranger. Of my Rolex she likes my BLNR the most. Proud military wife she loves the bezel colors, history of the Rolex GMT and jubilee bracelet.

The day this arrived in 2000, we met up at a coffee shop in the afternoon and when she spied it on my wrist, her eyes watered a bit. My YG President had been destroyed in a motorcycle accident and she helped me pick this as a replacement.

Oh man that sucks about the President! But that is one hell of a replacement. Well done.

Awesome story! So many of our partners don’t share the love of watches!

Your Significant Other and Watches

My wife thinks that all of my watches are the same. She keeps telling me to buy an Octo Finissimo because she loves the design.

She may have a point. I tend to favor round, black sport watches. She has a Cartier Pasha, a Tank, and a silver dial Datejust. Her little collection is probably more visually interesting than mine.

Of all my watches, she likes my Aqua Terra the most.

My wife thinks all Rolexes look basically the same. She absolutely loves Panerai though. Probably because they are so bold and different from all other sports watches.

My wife likes this one so much, she has often tried to "borrow" it for herself!

Man that looks great! If I ever got a shot at an OP at MSRP I'm not sure if I'd go 36 or 41, but I'm a lean towards 36.

You have an amazing collection T-Bone, but I sort of get where she's coming from. That might be one of the coolest Panerai's ever.

She loved my white Daytona so I sold it. I don't play into her head games.
