If you don't intend to build a collection of Rolex, just buy one from DavidSW.

You can buy any Rolex at normal AD price, every watch I have bought has come from an AD at retail price, this includes 3 Rolex watches one of which is a Submariner 124060.

But you may have to wait a while as all Rolex watches are highly sought after especially their Professional watches.

Yep. But it’s all about being at the right place at the right time.

No - You will not be able to buy it at MSRP as that is reserved for those who least need the price break. Go figure...
I have been told by the local AD's that only big spenders of other jewelry items need apply.

i can wait so any one know any Base Submariners Black for sale in the DMV (Virginia, Mary Land, DC) area?
From where did you buy your 16710 and 16610LV? I’d go back to those dealers, even if it’s been awhile… otherwise I’d say go grey (good news, both those have appreciated so much you can easily cover the cost and mark up).

It depends.

If your time is worth virtually nothing, or if you are willing to buy a lot of garbage to move up, play the list/relationship/maybe soon game.

Otherwise, pay the market price and have a watch on your wrist tomorrow.

You have to build a relationship with an AD now and then get on the wait list. Depending on the amount of people on the list, you may wait a few months to a couple years. Just keep the relationship going and it will happen.

It’s possible, but like what a lot of forum members say, it definitely helps a lot if you have a great relationship with your AD or a lot of luck. My friend was lucky enough to walk into an AD while on vacation last year(pre COVID) in Mexico and they just got one of the last hulk in. Talk about luck.

Yes, but as many have said, you may not get it as your first Rolex. I picked mine up about 3 weeks ago as my fourth Rolex purchase with the same AD within the past year. Some here say they don't want to "play the AD game", but I genuinely like my SA, and building a relationship was rather easy. I call periodically or stop in, let her know what I am interested in. If she can get it for me, she does. Most importantly, she knows that I am not a flipper, and I know that she does the best she can to get me the watches that I would like to have. Best of luck to you!
