While I have been happy to see that the price of my watches have increased, actually it is a disadvantage as 1) I am not needing/wanting to sell and 2) need to increase the insurance which increases my premiums.
As it stands my white DaytonaC has gone up from £18k in 2019 to £20k (the original”peak”post here) to around £29k - at least that is the current asking price for unworn 2021 models. I also do have a worry that, having insured it for £18k, I am now underinsured and need to be careful until my renewal date, in case anything happens I will need to add an extra £7-10k to replace it.. Currently paying c£500pa and will likely be £700 at renewal if I want to keep pace with replacement price. That said - I do not view these as investments and some stocks have increased in value by over 100% in the same period.. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
