U was the transitional serial where it went from 78393 to 78393A. If you want to split hairs, U1 through U5 "should" be 78393 and U5-U9 "should" be 78393A. But it is widely accepted that U serials can have Tritium or Luminova Dials and A or non A Bracelets.

I often see these bracelets for sale for around $2000 USD on ebay and via collectors. Hope that helps.
