I am very happy. My DJ 41 will be three weeks old on Thursday. Last week Tuesday it was 7 seconds fast since the purchase day. Today it's is still +7, so it has settled down and in one week it has neither gained nor lost time.
I wear it about 14-16 hrs per day and let it rest over night crown down. |

Same experience here. When I fully hand wind one of my Day Date 40mm, it runs faster by 2 secs a day compared with my other Rolexes. However, second day in, it starts to normalize and stays consistent with my other watches.

My 2005 14060 was RSC serviced in 2013 and thereafter ran at +2 /day until the replacement of the Pallet Forks in late 2016 since which it has run at +5-6 secs/day.
If the RSC was nearby I would take it in for adjustment now but as it is 1500 klms away I think I can put up with up to about +10 secs/day.

Just to close the loop on this: After trying different resting positions to no avail, I took my EXII back to my AD and they, in turn, sent it to Rolex Germany. The watch is back now and is purring along very nicely at +1" to +2" daily |

Green tagged sub running -3.63 per day. I'm not going to fret over it.

My DD40 is running very well +2 seconds a week. Thats about as good as it gets.
BUT ... My Day and date flip over at 8mins 35 secs after midnight every day. I spoke to the RSC and hey said that is not acceptable ... They will correct it when i bring it in in a couple of weeks for a new link to be fitted. It will take one week.

The precision of a Rolex Superlative Chronometer after casing is of the order of −2/+2 seconds per day, or more than twice that required of an official chronometer COSC.
If it fell out of the range of COSC, I would get it looked at after 6 months if things have not improved or get worse. You are paying for the accuracy, I would hold Rolex to it. |

AI can be a stickler for "as advertised" but I would have no issues whatsoever with 2.5+ SPD.

Mine was at about +10 before service which isn't bad but I wasn't happy with it. It came back from service about +3 and has now settled down to +1-1.5. I should probably play with resting position overnight but the gain is small enough I don't worry about it. I consider that kind of accuracy VERY good for a mechanical object that is 10 years old.

My submariner actually got more accurate with age ironically. Its about 2.5 years old and keeping almost perfect time. It use to gain about 30 seconds a month, now its only a few seconds fast a month. I keep it dial facing up at night.

Accuracy doesn’t really matter to me as much as consistency. Any drastic change, would be my indication that it is time to send in |

Just wait and see. My SD43 was whack first few weeks, then settled down.
Luckily my DSSD has been spot on (I mean exactly) for the past two weeks. These 3235 movements are wicked accurate. Not sure how they will hold up over time vs 3135, but just love it right now. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Short update: Two years down the line, it has been running very very well throughout ("very very well" meaning the deviations are so small between date changes that I do not notice them and hence have stopped cross checking) |

2.5 seconds a day is 99.997106% accurate. I’d be happy with that.
