Well, i was kind of high jacking this thread so, but no idea what the OP has choosen. For me, i had a few Rolexes, but sold them for various reasons. I have a Tudor BB GMT, which is great, but i need at least one more watch for variaton.

I don't care for the Omega but either I want the OP39 red grape or the Blue Cartier Santos. I love a pretty dial and they both have one. The Cartier seems like more bang for buck since even the OP is like 3k more expensive than just a few years back. Still on the fence though..

But perhaps $2,000 worth of gold and labor? Was talking to a jeweler last month who explained to me just how difficult rose gold is to work with. She told me some jewelry brands that use RG settings automatically make a massive overrun of the settings because of the likelihood of snapping one in half when seeing the stones.

I think the Santos is the clear winner of the 3 here. And I would ask for a discount for anything and everything, the worst thing they could say is no.

The Green Oyster Perceptual is very hard to get from a Rolex AD right now. On the grey market they sell for double the MSRP

I love my SMP. I have one on bracelet. The only downside is that the clasp is a scratch magnet. I like the Cartier, but not enough to own one.

From a pure investment point of view, the OP is the best.

All things being equal (they're not), I think I would ask if you care if you want/need a true dive watch or not.

Imagine the OP is too busy enjoying his new Sub to think about any of these three now- that said, I would go for the Omega, but on a bracelet- No there's not $2k of gold in the bezel and crown there, but can you name any luxury watch with gold bits that does have a proportionate price ?
