Samples of engraved backs

My first Rolex (OP36 in bright blue) finally arrived and since the caseback is pale and removable I wanted to personalize it with an engraving.

- any (not too-personal) engraving samples to show?

- what type of engraving works best with the stainless steel finish of a rolex back ? (laser writing, laser engraving, manual classic engraving even feasible steel?)

Thank you very much in advance!

I’d recommend a logo. Liken what John mayer did on his gmt. The Grateful Dead image. That would certainly make your watch a very personal and unique piece. Would probably lower resale value a great deal as well. But I’m sure you don’t care about that.

I got my white dial daytona at a very depressing / personal time in my life.
I decided to have the saying
Time waits for no man
engraved on the back.

It now reminds me on difficult days and challenging times that no matter what the day is what the day is and you can either choose to make it work or sit back and not do anything about it, no matter what decision I make time will keep marching and I will get 1 day older until I don't.

I'm actually thinking about putting the engraving on all of my watches.

Do engravers engrave on the watch, or do they remove the case back and potentially sabotage the waterproofing?

I’d be curious to better understand this as well. It makes little sense to crack open a new caseback for engraving IMHO.
