Rolex Oysterquartz!
Bring it back!
Nobody cares about rotors and the mechanical movements anyway! Integrated bracelets! Beat AP and VC at their own game! What say you my friends!!!? |

If Rolex wanted to take a share of Cartier’s market, maybe.
But Cartier have already back tracked on this. They stopped doing PM tanks in quartz this year. It damaged their sales of mechanical. I even bought a RG quartz tank for the wife. They only do steel, MUST and solar now. I can’t see this happening |

100%. Integrated bracelet look, 1970s retro vibe, and offer mechanical and quartz options. Limit annual production to 20,000 units for the first two years.
Crushing blow to the Overseas, Royal Oak, and Nautilus in one fell swoop. (A little exaggeration here... but it would be a monster hit.) Here is how I would price it: Oystersteel = $25,000 WG / Everrose = $45,000 YG = $50,000 In fact, I've been eyeing getting one for several months. Yesterday, there was another thread about it... and then BOOM, a beautiful 1987 yellow gold OQ Day Date magically appeared before my eyes during my morning walk on 47th Street -- and at a price I couldn't pass up. I'm now I’m an OQ owner. |

They can at least make OysterAuto instead of Quartz and bring back that style.

My sources at Rolex Geneva (cafeteria) say they have over 10000 movements and cases sitting with the canned herring. They can do it!

Rolex is already winning. But they should still redo the OQ with a mechanical movement. They did it with the 1630, but also with my favorite Rolex ever.

I love the Oysterquartz, but won't get one because i'm concerned about future service. Would love it if they came out with it again.
