4 Digit Daytona Jubilee Question

Do any knowledgeable members know if the 4 digit Daytona was ever available from Rolex with the jubilee bracelet? Over the years I’ve seen quite a number of 4 digit’s for sale with jubilee, but I’ve never seen a seller make any reference as to why the watch is on a jubilee. It also appears that these watches sell without any questions being raised. This brings me to conclude that maybe the jubilee was a legit option or installed OEM at some point in the 4 digit’s production life cycle?

Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated

Back in the day, ADs would swap out bracelets on new watches if a customer wanted, and even put a Daytona on a leather strap. And then, of course, owners could swap them out themselves through the years.

I don't think a four-digit Daytona ever came from the factory on a Jubilee, although you could confirm that by trying to find a Rolex catalog or advertisement showing one on a Jubliee.

Thanks for the insight. I’ll try to search out vintage catalogs

I am not knowledgable, but was looking at Greekbum’s bracelet guide on here in the reference section and that shows a 6239 Daytona had the option of a 6251 jubilee bracelet with 74 endlinks!
If you google ‘Daytona 6239’ images, there are a couple there with jubilee bracelets.

Here is an Italian catalog from 1974, both 6263 and 6265 have the choice of Oyster, whereas the Jubilee was mentioned on the Datejust

I'm not sure you can find any official catalog with the Jubilee, but like Swish77 said at that time you could ask the AD's to change the Oyster
