New RSC Black Bezel Insert 16700

I'm the original owner of a 16700 GMT I purchased back in 1996. I know the faded bezel is great for value but I wanted to freshen up the watch and got a new Pepsi insert at the RSC in Tokyo. I'm thinking of getting a Black bezel insert as well which will be about $180 all-in (and the return of the current new "Pepsi")

Is this about market pricing for the bezel insert? I know it may be a bit high but I like the security of buying it from the source.

The UK service centre charged me £43 last year, did the change in 10 minutes while I waited, I then paid a 40% surcharge to keep the original insert

The "market price" is irrelevant; Rolex will charge what they will charge.

Black GMT sapphire crystal inserts vary in price depending on the condition. In the secondary market, prices can be found ranging from $150 to $250. There is no reason to trade-in your "Pepsi" for the black insert.

If you need help sourcing a black 16700 insert, send me a private message and I'll help you locate one.

Same here for my 16710 about 18 months back - although they were gone more than 10 minutes! More like 25 or so - at one point I wondered what was going on though all good in the end.
