5513 caseback/Serial question
5513 has a caseback IV70 (1970) and a 4.7m serial (1976)...Original owner who I've known for 35yrs (only had one service in 2007)
Any info on how the dates can conflict like this? He also thinks he purchased it in 1970... |

Impossible to know because service numbers were used across many years.
Both 4.4M, and 4.7M are well known, but there could be others. I have not seen anybody uncover the latest random serial service case numbers, but they are out there.
