Everest Band on 14060M

Just got my new Everest band. Super comfortable, very solid fit and (I think) it looks great. It could be original fitment.

I actually found it very hard to install, probably as it fits so tightly (more so than the shadows in the pictures suggest). I swap straps out all the time, but ended up going to a watchmaker. Slightly embarrassing but saved mashing the case. Other than that I'm very happy.

Looks great. I'm waiting for a similar strap to arrive from WatchGecko so that I can try it on my 14060m, I suspect I'll have to tape up the lugs with insulation tape if it's going to be a bitch to get it to fit.

I have quite a few of their straps. Is it a fitted one, or a generic straight ended one?

Fitted....It's a new one that they listed this week, looks to be a generic version of the RubberB but with ZuluDiver branding. I thought it was worth taking a punt on especially at 50% off, if I like it I'll probably upgrade in the future.

WOW! Deja Vu!

I just received two Everest straps. One black for the 14060M and one blue for the 16613 Blue Dial TT. Also purchased was a gold-tone buckle for it.

After and HOUR of screwing around, I was unable to install the Everest. The holes just would not line up.

After evaluation, I figured out that the strap, at installation, had to be at about a 45 degree angle to the case in order for the holes in the strap to align to the lug holes.

Not having 4 hands, I was still unable to get the strap lined up. After the aforementioned hour of torture, I eventually gave up and reinstalled the bracelet.

It was a good thing I taped the lugs, or they would be beat to heck. As it is, they are still like new.

And I am pretty good at mechanical things - but those Everest straps are just a lot of grief. Not to mentions VERY expensive at $235 apiece!

It'll be worth it

It's soooo comfy and really sets the 14060M off with the contrast it creates.

I wonder if they've updated the strap as reviews say it's any easy job. Even the watchmaker struggled!

Can't see it ever going back on the bracelet - love it!

I found it no problem to fit using the supplied spring bars from Everest. It would be a lot harder to fit with the spring bars which are fitted to the bracelet.

Zulu diver strap fitted to my SPB079 well worth it at 50% off ordered 20mm and 22mm very good quality indeed

I’m in the minority, but I don’t like these aftermarket rubber straps, they make the watch look cheap.

You can fit an Everest strap to a 14060 using the original spring bars but the rubber compression required puts an unacceptable shear stress on the lug hole pins.

Using smaller spring bars reduces the rubber compression but then puts the residual shearing force on a thinner pin.

I hope Everest can design a strap that fits the 14060.

I prefer a straight-end tropic rubber strap in the style Rolex ADs used to offer with the 5513 and 1680 back in the 1960s. A much more authentic look than fitted ends, IMO.

The case doesn't eat into it?

I find it can chew into straught end straps.

Not on the 5513, no. There is a gap between the straight end and the case.
