I've watched a bunch of Paul Thorpe videos, and I find him sometimes entertaining and informative, but also rather hypocritical. He severely criticizes Rolex (justified), but then continues to buy and/or advertise their product. Granted, he buys Rolexes and sticks them in a safe, because he's afraid to wear them in London; instead he wears a g-shock. Pretty sad.

I’m always amused by how his videos are sponsored by “trusted dealers” or “life long, trusted friends.”

I watch a variety of different watch related You-tubers, and in so doing try to give them a fair chance. Some I go back to because I enjoy their content and presentation; others I'll try to like but just find they fall short of meeting my expectations. Mr. Thorpe (senior) falls in this latter category. I find him tedious to watch and a bit whiney, and rather limited in the scope of topics he addresses.

This is not to demean the man personally; just saying that there are better channels out there that I find much more interesting.

I too follow a number of watch-related YouTube channels, and his videos are by far the least polished and most repetitive by a long way. Still, his many loyal followers and their many 'watch hours' must produce some kind of steady income stream for him. I do wonder what his many 'sponsors' think about his content.

His sons actions speak volumes about the type of people they are.

The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree, remember this.

His latest YT video is entitled “HAVE YOU EVER? Sold a Fake Rolex?” (Sic)
The irony!

I have found his take on Timepiece Gentleman a little hard to take giving his fraudster son and Paul's reluctance to give much information about that. He can talk all he wants about honesty, integrity and trust but the reality is that he goes home and has Sunday dinner with a son who stole £650,000 from the watch community.

You are who you socialise with. Family or not.

Looked at a few of PT youtube's. Does not add anything regarding my watch hobby. Same counts for Paul Pluta. Waste off time IMHO

Yup, Paul Pluta is for sure the biggest waste of time.

Search for “Rolex tool watch” and you’ll find a Paul Thorpe yawn fest to endure……

Watch like 3 of his videos and that's like all you need to know really.

This is all rolex's fault... if they sold more watches we wouldn't have weirdos like this.
