1996 Rolex 16613 Submariner Date Blue Dial Bluesy Steel & 18KT Gold T Serial

For sale is a very good condition 40mm 18 karat yellow gold and stainless steel Rolex Submariner Date. The 16613 is a T serial, circa 1996, and is not accompanied by box or papers.

The Rolex features a brushed steel case, which is accented by a yellow gold divers bezel that is set with a blue divers insert. The Submariner is mounted on Its original 93153 Oyster bracelet with brushed steel outerlinks, polished gold center links, and is secured by a safety lock deployant clasp. The bracelet contains 11 full size links, and will comfortably fit a 7.45 inch wrist. The clasp is stamped with a “V12” clasp code, which correlates with a December 1996 production date. The Rolex features a blue sunburst dial with applied yellow gold surround, luminous hour markers, luminous gold hands, and a magnified date window aperture at 3 o’clock. The movement used in the 16613 is the Rolex Calibre 3135, which features approximately 48 hours of power reserve.

The case has stood the test of time well and is fairly thick, and still retains part of its original chamfers. The blue divers insert contains some faint signs of wear around the “40” marker while the crystal contains some faint fleabites around the edges. The Oyster bracelet contains minimal stretch, while the coronet on the clasp is fairly crisp. I would rate the bracelet stretch 90% plus. Overall the Submariner is in very good condition, and has stood the test of time well for a 25 year old watch.
