It really doesn't matter if Rolex increase or decrease their price, you just can't get on at MSRP at the AD, so it's a moot point.

AD's are selling every watch they get, so many many people get to buy their watch at MSRP.

The issue is that we don't see these watches being sold unless you are lucky enough to be in store when a transaction is taking place or are the recipient of a new Rolex.

Make no mistake, there are plenty of watches being sold through the dealer network, AD's are busy places but would love to be busier.

I totally agree
What WOS has devised is pretty much registration of all watches so when they get stock from rolex rather than just send watch with silver dial to London with hope of sale they look on the database and they send the watch where it has a name against it. Another sale and another customer who got 'the phone call' and another watch not in inventory.

My experiences have been only same-day purchases. Does putting down a deposit with an AD lock-in that day's current price or do I pay the price in effect at the time of actual purchase?

You still pay price when watch arrives. There is no price protection

Apparently price increase is happening for a number of Swiss watch brands (he mentioned Rolex and Omega) on 1st December.

Don't shoot the messenger, just sharing what I was told, in case you were close to pulling the trigger on something and want to avoid a 5-10% increase (again the numbers he specifically said to me)

Hope this helps
As this does not appear to have happened, can we shoot the messenger now?
