How does this company exist?

They’re even traded on the stock market. Why isn’t Rolex going after them?

Maybe they had the India trademark before Rolex took an interest in that market? Kind of like how BurgerKing in Australia is called "Hungry Jacks" because they already had a restaurant chain called BurgerKing

Also different product markets, depending on what the law is in India. May not be any likelihood of confusion between watches and what this company does.

If you know anything about trademarks you’ll know that they’re issued for specific categories of industries. This company probably sells products that have absolutely no relationship to the categories for which Rolex holds it’s trademark, and as such would be very difficult to litigate outside of fair use.

Think of a Rolex garden spade or a Cartier car wash…confusion is improbable and highly unlikely.

There's no mistaken one product for another so no legal issue there.

Yes, but they've gone after "Pear" trademarks within the technology space. They don't sue "Pear" trademarks that, for example, are applied to foodstuff products. Neither do they sue "Apple" trademarks within the foodstuff category. Again, as the previous poster noted, trademarks are only issued within narrow product categories. In other words, not even Apple can trademark the word "apple" for all uses within every category known to mankind.

Similar industry, possible confusion- software

Non comparable to the example you gave. If in the example you provided the industrial outfit was making parts for watches or even mounting Steel supports designed to mount clocks, they’d have a legal issue.

Not only is it in a non-competitive category but there's also a fairly good argument (I would think, at least) for how/why that name makes sense for an industrial ring manufacturer.

At the time it was named (looks like late 70s/early 80s) it was probably considered more of a cheeky play on words than anything else.

Although founded in 1975 it might be considered riding on the Rolex name regardless of the lack of commonality.
