Exact reason why I put a Maratac Zulu on my DeepSea. Even if a springbar fails, the other one will "catch" the watch. Had my early-90's SeaDweller come apart at the bracelet and hit a marble floor. The bracelets are definitely the weak link...

Do you recall removing your gloves at any time throughout the day? The reason I ask is I lost a cheap (relatively) bracelet over the past week doing snow shoveling and work/play outside. What I suspect happened is the cvracelet gets tangled up with the glove and when I took off the glove the bracalet went with it. No sign of it! Good luck and I feel for you. I hope you had it insured!

Just catching up in the latest posts - great news! You are one lucky dude!

This was posted today, more than 13 hours ago. Everyone is waiting to see the watch, and to find out what the heck happened to cause it to fall off his wrist. I'm beginning to think that he is so busy celebrating the finding of the watch that he'll need some time to recover before we find out the details!
