I have an old trick I learned (maybe from TRF or VRF?) at least a decade ago and has served me well with stubborn inserts.

Take a long neck beer bottle like a Miller Lite or similar and the circumference of the bottle is such that you can slowly press the insert down until it is tight and then apply even pressure around the insert as the bottle neck gets wider. This helps to reshape an insert to have a more uniform thing going on all the way around. The OP's issue MIGHT be related to the insert getting "flattened" somehow, for lack of a better term. Doing the bottle neck trick helps to create a bit more of a natural, subtle dome sort of thing.

The other thing I've done along with the above is I found a pill bottle where the cap is just the right size to fit over the insert. I usually do the above and then put the insert on the watch with a cloth and then place the pill bottle cap over top of it. Apply gentle, firm, consistent pressure and this will almost always result in a pleasing "snap" of the insert back into its proper spot in the bezel surround.

I have used these techniques repeatedly over the years and have had good luck with them.

Eric is right. I just bent mine the opposite way to make it fit tighter and it went right in.

Again, it requires finesse not muscle.
I definitely do not say it’s for everyone but it offers a touch of DIY creativity in a pinch.
Problem with using the crystal press is that on the aluminium inserts, you could actually distort the shape if not careful.

The plastic pliers is a safer bet, albeit still risky.

This plus put the insert in the freezer for 30 min. Maybe it’s a mental think but, feels like it slips in faster with the light reshape and a cold insert!

Hello, the insert is from me and I‘m 100% sure it’s authentic. That’s not a discussion worth.
But we will solve this problem, I‘m sure.

I told you to send a pic please with the exactly diameter of the insert. I have about 30-40 vintage inlays in my box. I‘m sure your insert is not bent at all and has the origin size.
Every vintage lover who has done it some times can press it inside with plastic tool i showed you.
The last point you press in should be 6 o’clock. To protect the pearl. Don’t be to fearful. The last point to press needs courage for the first time.

I always use this plastic tool and it works perfection all my Subs and GMTs.

I also have the Tool 1006 but never use it for inserts. Only for bezels.

At least send both to me and if your bezel is origin I press it inside. If I can’t you get it for free.
I promise

I've tried doing it myself with the plastic tipped pliers and as you can see in the photos its not really close to fitting. If I apply addition pressure beyond this point it just pops out elsewhere. I had 2 watchmakers with rolex backgrounds try to put it in and both told me the same thing 1) they doubted its authentic and 2) it was too big to force in. 20 emails later I've been polite with you and simply asked for a refund because at this point there is too much doubt. You send me my money and I'll send the insert back. If it is 100% authentic like you claim whats the problem? take it back and you can always resell it.

I'm not sure what part in all this is hard for you to understand but it won't fit.

Don’t worry Joshua, there are two options. You get the insert in your bezel or I take it back of course.
I try only to understand where the problem is
