I was fortunate enough to establish a relationship with AP in 2021. Long story short I was purchased a 26331st and a chrono code a few months later.
My sales associate said I should be able to get some pieces this year but the months of January and February are typically slow bc not much is coming in. I’ve put interest in for myself and my wife is starting to get into time pieces as well.
Normally my sales associate responds pretty quickly to me via text but I feel she has been a little distant. I haven’t been offered anything as of yet this year and no mention when they expect pieces to come in.
Am I just being impatient or overthinking all of this?
Is it me or AD’s pretty much have a list of preferred clients, even without purchase history, and they get first dibs.

The SAs are slammed right now between some showings and clients reaching out to them so I wouldn’t sweat it.

I asked for a Jumbo and was told it’d be hard but they’ll try. Sounds like a lot of pieces are already pre allocated so it’ll be tough bet let’s see. The bright spot in all this is that these are limited pieces so if not this year then in another year.

My guess is that a lot of folks that have had prior requests for chronos and jumbos are being rolled over into the updated line (100% speculation on my part)

Many new releases came out three days ago and every boutique SA has been swamped with visits, calls and texts. Join the very long line my friend. You just spent a lot at the wrong time, hype just increased even more this week and long term clients will come first

Sounds to me you got your allocation for getting the 26331. Lots of people out there with a very long history with AP so you should be thankful you got your watches this year!

What did you ask for? As others said, they are insanely busy right now, and getting one of the 50th anniversary models will be a challenge even for established clients.

Given the excitement/buzz last week's announcements generated (as corroborating evidence, traffic in the TRF AP section seems even higher than after the Black Panther intro

), I don't think AP sees the need to go back to any of the watch shows soon. April 15 should be quite the event.

I know from the inside that nothing announced in the upcoming event will be affordable to mortals. April is the moment for haute horlogerie and nothing else.

My boutique has not their done their allocations yet. They did share what may be possible and what's out of reach for me based on the wishlist I sent them. I have a decent spend history with AP including the 15202 last year. At this point I'm feeling grateful that I can even get their attention with emails and texts back. Some of my fellow watch friends w good relationships have not heard back at all since the big announcement.
