Trade Pepsi for Sub no date and DJ41?

I was in the fortunate enough position a year ago to buy a SS Pepsi new from an AD. Have really enjoyed wearing it since but the rise in value has got me thinking of trading it in as, assuming can pick up for RRP, I should be able to get a sub ND and a SS DJ41 diamond dial for the Pepsi sale proceeds…with probably £1-£2k cash left over. The AD has said they can order the DJ41 and don’t think the sub ND should be too long. Just wondering if others would do the trade.

I would not make this trade. Pepsi is just too difficult to acquire at MSRP.

Two is not always better than one. What do you prefer?

Depends on what you prefer out of the 3 watches. If the Pepsi is your favourite then I’d say it’s a bad idea. If you prefer both the Sub and DJ over the Pepsi then it’s a no brainer. Only you’ll know which option would make you happier.

Ignore the hype and this is a great deal. A sub and DJ41 is a great 2 watch collection, if not about as good as it gets.

If you like the Pepsi better though of course don’t!

Just be sure you are done with the BLRO. The trade is great if you really can pull it off which I don’t think can be done for no money added. One could argue the Sub alone is worth the trade.

Do it. I bought a pepsi last year, didn’t like it, sold it, and bought the new Sub. Never looked back. For me, the 124060 is perfection.

Never. The Pepsi is so much more of a special watch.

If you really like the other two then go for it, just know that it will be extremely difficult to get the BLRO back at the same cost if you ever miss it, while the other two are relatively easier to get, because the demand for BLRO is just so much higher.

I personally wouldn’t but it all comes down to personal preference.

I’ve never had a Datejust that stuck

Thanks for the opinions. If weighing up all 3 in isolation The BLRO would be my favourite, but that’s not to say I don’t like the other two…and in this situation the DJ41 would essentially be a free watch…which has to count for something.

Hmm, decisions decisions.

Wouldn't trade..... If at all possible, could you get the other watches in addition in the short term? Your AD seems willing to get them to you quickly (maybe he won't if he doesn't get the Pepsi out of you, though). Then perhaps make the call.....

My advice is the usual; add the Sub and DJ if you can. It would be a fantastic 3 watch collection.

If you do the trade just thinking about the cash you'd get out of the deal, I'd be willing to bet you will soon experience seller's remorse. Hype aside, the BLRO is very special.

Not everyone likes the ceramic BLRO, so yes, of course, do that if you prefer the other 2 watches (sub and datejust). Don't hold the BLRO for silly "investment" purposes.

Not a DJ fan and the sub would need a date. So negative.

I would add, you've already got a hard to acquire piece. Sub ND and DJ shouldn't take too long with patience.
