A VERY Good trip guys!!
I am back from Florida and with the best possible news you could imagine!! I not only passed all of my written and oral exams, I have scored high enough that I am probably in line for some serious scholarship money from the PGA to offset the cost I incurred. Actually my club incurred the cost, but I can reap these rewards. That is not the "real" good news though.
I am now officially a Class "A" member of the Professional Golfers Association of America. This is much like a Masters so this is a huge thing for me and I am very proud of myself and my two buddies that made it through with me. We had a great dinner provided to us but there was not much celebrating by me, I had to be on a shuttle to the airport at 4:30 am this morning. That is not the real good news for sure!! It feels really good to get this phase in my life over with. It really does not change my "life" but yet it signifies an accomplishment that most who try this don't reach, the finish!! Thanks for all your great thoughts before and during guys (and gals!!! Boy was I excited to see the Lizinator in the house!!!!!!!! See I can even hijack my own post, let alone thread.)they meant alot to me!! Here is the newest member of the PGA getting his Pin. For the real good news, look under the pic!!!!!!!!!!! BTW/ The real good news is that Andie and I are expecting a running mate for Dylan!! It is super early, but the excitement is higher than words already!! We could not be happier, even Dylan.

Congratulations, Daren. Well done, mate, on all fronts. Jolly good show, and all that. Best wishes to you and Andie on the expectancy. Just remember, two is not twice as difficult as one - it's exponentially more difficult - by an order of magnitude or greater. But worth it, nonetheless.

Thanks everyone, really I mean it!! Thank you!!
Good to see Bruce, but that man is busy and I am not sure he will have time to stop by too often, but he will always be part of our family over here. Everything just seems pretty good right now for me, and having this place is part of that.

DMAN you are THE MAN!!
Super congratulations friend. I've heard how difficult attaining that professional level can be. The other reason for celebration may not be as difficult but just as rewarding. Now relax and enjoy life. You've earned your "E" ticket! I couldn't be happier for you. |
