Tudor Pelagos FXD

I have quite a spend history and a great relationship with my jeweller who sells both Rolex and Tudor, I regularly pop in and have a chat and speak about the stock they have not got

Anyhow we got onto the Tudor FXD, he mentioned that it’s the most asked for Tudor when people call and that they are getting 3 MN22s this year as a medium sized dealer.
He said it’s most likely a limited time release and my AD have closed their list on it now as it’s over 100 potential candidates on it.

Seems this watch is going to be the Tudor that quite a few want and it seems that are trading at nearly double retail online!

I viewed one on display at Harrods at Xmas and it’s looks like a great watch, I tried it on and it’s so light and comfortable!

Does anyone else thing this may be a future rare piece?

Whether or not it's rare I do think it's the best watch in Tudor's line up. Hope you can get yours soon it is excellent to wear.

They would not put me down for one, I’m unlikely to get.

I managed to get one at retail. Love it, wearing it now. As for future collectibility, who knows, but it seems likely.

Its the most recent watch from Tudor that made me go "I WANT THAT"
I wear other watches on NATO and so it appeals too.
I love the idiots who hope to get it on a strap LOL!
Guessing it won't be easy to get for me.
As for value in future....I thought I read somewhere they planned to continue the model anyway?

I'd buy that the BB Ceramic was more limited than the Pelagos FXD to be honest.

Either way, I do like the renewed interest in the more modern flavor tudor. Anything to get a breather from BB hype.

The FXD has all the characteristics of a future collectiable. It's a watch that's either loved or hated by lots just like the Hulk was. The quirkiness of the count down bezel, fully graduated lumed bezel, and fixed lugs are unique to the FXD only. If they don't flood the market with the FXD like they did with the blue BB58, and keep it rare then it'll continue to hold the hype.

My guess is it'll be a 3 year run with the MN logo on the back then they'll make a black one for regular production.

Not sure on that couple year timespan given the Harrods edition is still being pumped out.

Don't know about rare or collectable. I can say that it is a great watch so far. My AD said he might only get a couple more this year. Very comfortable on nato, super legible, and crazy lume. Have only tried the rubber strap for a short period, but it appears the nato will be more comfortable.

I don’t think Tudor really “flooded the market” with the blue BB58, they just made it readily available and thank goodness for that! I’m sick of not being able to get watches I want. I was lucky and got an MN21 FXD a few weeks after release, amazing watch, absolutely love it. Today I stopped into an AD to get my name down for a DJ41 and tried on a blue BB58 while I was there. They had two in the case and one of those came home with me. It was so nice to walk in, try on a watch I liked the look of and be able to walk out with it. No lists, no games, just a great watch at a great price that is readily available. Quite refreshing and I’m glad Tudor is making enough BB58s to meet demand. I’d be happy if they did the same with the FXD so everybody who wants one can get one.

The FXD is simply an awesome watch. I really cannot think of a way I would improve it….maybe add another 100m of water resistance even if just to make it seem a bit more substantial. But the reality is very few need more than 200m of WR.

Only time will tell if it becomes collectible.

Is collectibility really the measure?
It’s a cool watch, would be fun to own and wear.

FXD is a winner regardless of collectibility. I would love to get one of these but based on current market I don’t see that happening for some time.

Cool watch but don’t worry if history repeats itself they will make plenty. I remember thinking the LHD was going to be limited lol
