Small Chip in Sapphire Crystal On DateJust Please Advise

Hi guys!
I have had my Rolex in a safety deposit box for about a year and started wearing it again recently. I noticed a small chip on the sapphire crystal (above the 2).
Is there a way to repair it, and if not would you suggest replacing the crystal? Any advise would be greatly appreciated.
thanks in advance for the replies!

New crystal at time of service is not very expensive. $130 maybe. If it's intact and superficial just wait unless it drives you crazy.

Common chip for that vintage DJ. Personally id leave it.

Or get an independent to swap one for about $70 if you’re bothered by it.

Wear it and forget about it. If it really bugs you put a chip above the 8 to balance it out.

Agree with the consensus. I got my OQ sapphire replaced by the RSC. It was about 100 bucks.

Wear it, it'll be fixed at next service.

Wouldn't it be more balanced if the other chip was at 10:00?

I'm a bit OCD, but even with that I'd probably not worry about it until service time.

IMHO, it's a great looking watch and a perfectly good crystal. No need to replace it.

Would that not compromise water resistance?
Question to forum.

In day to day usage, unlikely.

But when that watch is tested at 10bar in water during a service, chips are weak points and frequently cause the glass to shatter.

That's why most of the time a chipped glass is a necessary replacement during a service.

That's really hard to see; unless you're planning on selling it, I'd leave it.
