IMO the lume on Rolex watches is underwhelming at best. Even with my Submariner, it would disappear quickly rendering it basically useless. I bought a Breitling super ocean 42 and the thing glows like a torch. So much better.
Having said that I love my Wimbledon DJ41. I don’t find myself needing to tell the time in the dark that often. In normal lighting I don’t have an issue reading the time. |

Lume is overrated, meaning it doesn't last or even charge up under normal wearing, at least for me. I have a Wimbledon and in low lighting always good enough to see the hands. White or Black is a little better. I say this by looking at mine when I'm in bed with only the TV on.

Yeah it sucks in the dark and very low light but no different from any other non-lume watch. Much prefer to lousy sticks that glow in the dark IMHO. |
