Great Daytona, that one is on my wish list. Great RG collection as a grouping.

Good morning Jay,

You know I had to give you a shout out

First impressions? Umm I like it. I'm a weight monger when it comes to the wrist but I knew going in this one was not gonna fit the bill in terms of weight. It is very comfortable though. I've used RubberB before and its comparable. As far as the fit the clasp is almost dead center. Just may need one a tad longer on the 6 oclock side.

Overall I'm quite happy. Thank you again for riding along with me

Fantastic. I'm happy for you. Perhaps you will want to sell off some of those you don't really enjoy anymore? Especially as your collection gets better and better! Either way, enjoy that bad boy.

Big congrats, Anthony!! You did it. It's been quite a journey I know, to Paris and back :), and I can't imagine it turning out any better than that trio. I've never been more excited for someone else's incoming and wish you nothing but the best in the years to come with your excellent pieces. As for the collection contentment, if you can pull it off, I'm going to need your continued wisdom :) Congrats again my man.

While my dream is not to this level, when I add the sub date LV and SS Daytona, I will be complete. Nice to hear there is an actually end game!

Everose is just beautiful. Did you have any difficulty with fitment?

I’m patiently waiting for Rolex to introduce the mini Glidelock before I purchase a Daytona OF.

Rory my main man as always thank you for the constant positive PM’s and encouragement along the way. I’ll try to be more brief moving forward Been an absolute pleasure getting to share our individual watch journeys together. Looking forward to seeing and talking about future changes with our collections. You just might be the only one making changes

Good question. No not really. The only change I would make on my particular set up is to have the 6 o’clock side be a tad longer. Mine is a tad to short. Fits just fine as far as tightness but the clasp does seem to run ride a tad to high. Something even a Glidelock wouldn’t help but it sure would be nice if Rolex would add it. Being you can’t cut any Oysterflex strap the Glidelock should be standard on all Oysterflex models IMO.

Thank you for that brother. Yes it is. We ALL want the A D call on every model we want but sadly the demand and times have changed that. At least for me and I’m sure a good many others. Just wish more people were in it for the passion and not the other reasons but it is what it is. I regret NOTHING on this decision and only wish I would’ve pulled the trigger sooner before all the OF Daytona’s went bonkers but I didn’t. At least I have it now and the deal I made I can live with it. I honestly feel great. My wife recently found what she calls her “purse peace” when she picked up her latest Chanel bag in Paris last month and now so have I. Granted she just added another last week.

Also a HUGE thanks to everyone else who followed me along this journey and to all those I missed. Appreciate all of you. TRF is by far my most visited site and I absolutely love this community Steve and all the others created. If my wallet could talk not so much but it’s well worth it

Okay now that I got all the thanks outta the way I wanted to post a few more pics of the 2 Chocolate dials. I think the SkyD chocolate dial is a tad lighter compared to the Daytona.

Don’t see myself ever adding a third Chocolate dial with the DayDate but being the majority of my entire collection consists of black dials outside these 2 in chocolate and others I’d like to see all 3 side by side.

I did say I was done didn’t I

Super classy and somewhat unique trio!!! Of everything I’ve seen on this forum your collection is up there with the best of them. If you had to pick just one, which one is your favorite and why?

Appreciate that but there’s some heavy hitter collections on this forum that would put these 3 to shame. Quite a few that have posted in my little incoming thread alone but thank you all the same

As to your question. Well if I could only pick or need one that would’ve made this journey a heck of a lot easier but if I had to I’d say the SkyD. Heft, dial, GMT, date, annual calendar, RG, makes it a do all heck of a beast IMO. All 3 IMO are kinda like a 1A, 1B, 1C versus 1 2 3. Obviously I’m in a love affair with the 515 atm but the SkyD will eventually win out and be back on the wrist the most.
