Icon5 Rolex Daytona 116505, help me choose!

Hi all,

I’m debating between 2 dials of the 116505, the chocolate dial and the sunburst with baguette diamonds. I’m in love with both, but they’re so different. If I had the option and the funds I’d love to have both. I would wear it a lot including to work and out on the town.

I can’t post links to the Rolex website, but will try to find some pics if I can

Please give me some opinions on the designs and what you’d choose? Thanks

For what it’s worth my skin tone is relatively light

I would go with the baguette one, currently waiting for one myself. It is more rare and unique than the chocolate dial. Also the baguettes appear like normal hour markers unless you inspect the dial closer, which was very appealing to me.

I too faced the same dilemma last month. I've picked up chocolate dial. I do want the sundust dial on the OF for the near future

Meteorite dial would be the best.

Would the sunburst dial with baguettes feel more premium than the chocolate?

Tried on one with Sundust dial —it is difficult to tell the time with little contrast between the hands and the dial, but it does look great.

Some stores wants to charge you extra if you want to keep the old dial. One AD even wanted to force a service before willing to put in new dial...

These “rules” are not from Rolex...

So I switched to another AD who plays more fairly.
An acquaintance of mine also happens to be a VIP there so he managed to fix the dial for me at around 6380 US
