If the TT you eluded to is the TT SD43 then of course let the SD43 go …. Confused yet?

I doubt it is mate , but I would not be against it, its a cracker. Rich, I'd keep the JC as it is so original.

I know nothing when it comes to Rolex but SD43 never did anything for me (I'd much rather have an SD4K). Keep the Sub and the JC.

Not confused quite yet
But if TT was an SD43, that’d definitely be an easy decision

This is a fairly evenly split response so far. Not surprised.

If you can pull off the size, definitely keep the DSSD. So unique and a stark contrast to the sub. The sd43 is sort of in no mans land if you have all 3.

I'd let the JC go, keep the SD43 plus Sub.

I like a chunky diver and own a few, but never warmed up to the Deepsea, either standard black dial or JC. This is my personal opinion based on looks only. The dial should have been larger, it gets lost in the case and the ring lock further accentuates this. Terrific piece of engineering nonetheless.

On the other hand, the SD43 is the perfect diver for me, it looks badass but remains elegantly proportioned. Also, the SD43 offers a nice contrast against the Sub 116610ln, one with slender tapered lugs, the other with square fat lugs, so you have some variety there, a different look despite the obvious resemblance to the layman. The SD43 could be my only watch. To me it really looks amazing.

In all honesty Richard, I sort of had a similar dilemma a while back. I felt I had too many divers and sold the Dblue as to me it was the least wearable. Then I sold the SD43 because I did/do suffer from the caseback discomfort that many here cite.

Problem for me, was that I always wanted one of them back even though they aren't ideal for my wrist. When the opportunity came to buy back my SD43, it just felt like the right decision.

To me the SD43 epitomizes everything I love about Rolex divers, not to mention the Seadweller reference is where I got my Rolex start back in 1992. It represents Rolex's foray into saturation diving instruments. It truly is the nicest looking dive watch (subjective to be sure). It was the first professional reference with the new 32xx movement, the first dweller with a cyclops (love it or hate it) and its the 50th anniversary model ...

For me now that Omega has topped Rolex in the depth department, I'm less interested in adding back the DSSD, YMMV. I guess to me the SD43 will always hold a special place in my heart for its rich history.

That’s a tough one! I would keep the JC given its amazing engineering and beautiful dial
It’s clearly more distinct from the SD43 and sub

I would get rid of the DSSD.

Sold mine years ago having realized it wasn't right for me in terms of its massive size and weight. Took me a couple of years to admit it to myself, but I got there in the end.

I have recently owned all three watches, Sub/SD43/DSSD JC. I also have a reasonably large wrist at 7.5-7.75 so fit was not an issue. The DSSD JC is a beautiful watch but I can only describe it as a brick on the wrist for me. Beautiful dial but not what I wanted for day to day wear. The Submariner is a Submariner and is a great watch that is neither special or unique beyond being a Rolex Submariner. I prefer the fit and wear of my Tudor Pelagos watches and the Tudor BB 41's I own. I moved both of them and own the SD43. The red text, size and uniqueness work well for me. I do not see them very frequently on some ones wrist. I believe that most of it comes down to personal preference based on wear and appearance. I kept the SD43, am happy for now. Let us know what you decide.

BUT….just getting the thoughts of fellow WIS.

I have 3 divers…116610LN, 126600, 126660 JC…..I’m keeping the Sub, but letting the DSSD or the SD43 go. Going with the one out / one in strategy.

Any thoughts or reasons on keeping one or the other ?

Thank you for the thoughts as always

***For those that may wonder….I’ll be bringing something two-tone in. Haven’t had one in the collection in a long time. (Other than the one I inherited from my father, but I rarely wear it because of the size)
What else do you currently own? Then I can give a better opinion!

I like the sd43 better only as it’s marginally more wearable.

I agree with this.
Also, the JC is much different and unique looking than the SD in comparison to the standard Sub.

I was in a similar situation a couple years back , I kept the JC and let the SD43 go , no regrets at all , as of today the JC is one the watches I wear the most and I find it way more comfortable than the SD43., Just my experience.
