Betteridge Lost AD status?

Did Betteridge in CT lose rolex ad status? I do not see them on the rolex website locator?

If it’s on Rolex site then they lost their status.

Betteridge website still states they are AD and includes standard Rolex catalogue (including new 2022 releases)

Seems like both stores in Colorado and Connecticut are missing on rolex website though. Maybe they are updating something?

I believe Betteridge is under new ownership. They had to close for a week. THat probably has something to do with it.

I live nearby and have been on a waiting list for a BLNR for 4+ years there lol

They were bought by WOS But I thought that was last year. They closed for a week last week? For what reason?

Wow, that would suck. They are NOT currently on the Rolex site. I hope this isn't true. I like that store.

Closed for about a week to "upgrade their computer systems" or something along those lines. A sign was printed and taped on their door indicating this.

Interesting that they no longer appear on Rolex's website, though I highly, highly doubt they've lost AD status.

I had some email correspondence with them in regards to waitlists and ordering and there was no indication that they are not an AD. I believe it has to do with them being owned by WoS ?

Lots of AD's are losing their Rolex accounts these days it seems. I heard the other day that an AD not too far from me lost its Rolex AD status on 1st April with only a couple of weeks notice. And that was after being a Rolex AD for 60 years.

If they are no longer on the Rolex site, they are not currently an Authorized Dealer. I suppose it’s possible they will return once the conversion to WOS is complete.
I have watched seven dealers in the South Texas/Houston area drop off the site in the last five years and none of them returned.
I am always a little baffled by the closing of longtime dealers. Two of those seven had rumors of malfeasance surrounding them, the others were either chain locations or smaller town mom and pops. It certainly appears that RolexUSA is now favoring big and small multi location stores yet I can think of at least two small market jewelers still surviving, probably because of the small but lucrative pockets of wealth near them.
The fact that these stores are turning into WOS locations is even stranger since they are obviously very strong ambassadors for Rolex in other places.

Hoping they come back on (rebranded or not) as they're my AD. It would be very strange for Greenwich, CT to not have an AD (not to mention the biggest Rolex AD in CT), and I cannot imagine WoS's acquisition of Betteridge wasn't blessed by Rolex.

Or they’re doing something like opening an adjacent boutique, or reallocating that inventory to other stores?

The Vail, Colorado, Betteridge website still shows they are an AD however they are no longer listed on the Rolex website.

if they switched to WOS that would be a bummer. Better to find a different a different AD to be honest. I've asked for different pieces in different brands and the answer is always the same. Backordered or no inventory. I'm sure someone has gotten watches from them before but I've had better experiences elsewhere.
