VC Overseas experience

Hi guys! Hope you guys are enjoying your Saturday!
Anyone had experience obtaining a VC overseas at retail? Do ad do waitlist/order? Im considering the base SS model with blue or black dail. But blue looks like has to be boutique only.

Thanks!

I stopped by the VC boutique last week and they said there’s already to many people waiting and didn’t take my info, for any version or dial color. However, you may have better luck, stop by VC and see if things are different in your region.

Shouldn’t the fact that they retail for 23k but if you want to buy one on the open market asking prices are about 55k tell you all you need to know? Or is the idea there’s the sustaining market of ultra wealthy impulse buyers for second hand pieces but that with a little patience you can make a quick 100% profit?

My experience is that I could have picked it up right then and there at the AD but I didn't like the blue three-hander on my wrist. Years ago of course. No regrets.

I've inquired recently with the eboutique about the blue dial 4500V and was told that the wait would be around 5-6 years. They took my name, but we'll see if I ever get a call. You can always try calling them and at least put your name down.

One of my friend was recently quoted a 10 years wait list upon enquiring for a VC Overseas blue dial from boutique. Its obviously BS but then it just shows how strong the demand is now for the Overseas. I was lucky to get mine last year.

I picked up my VC Overseas dual time today. In my time spent picking it up, two people enquired about purchasing Overseas and they were both told no more lists nor deposits.

When did you go on the list? I’m very hopeful!

I didn’t. I have a great relationship with the team working at the boutique.

If you’re going to a boutique you’re likely to get a more straight forward answer. ADs will fudge their lists based on what the potential client is worth.

I do hear that Boutique no longer takes deposit for Overseas.

I got on the boat before that, put down deposit, and took 9 months for them to deliver the watch.

The experience was excellent. Far exceed any Rolex boutique / AD that "put you on a list, but here's other watches that we can't get rid of and you should consider buying them in order for us to expedite your position on the wait list, which is not really a wait list but a priority list ordered by the amount you spent." LOL

VC boutique treats you like a valued customer, while Rolex boutique / AD treats you like they are doing you a solid for selling you a watch, and you have to return the flavor.
