Adding watches. Add now, wait or move on?

I would like to add to my Rolex collection of 5 digit and discontinued 6 digit references, but high prices have caused me to hesitate. I am a collector, not an investor. I have never sold and do not plan on selling any of my Rolex watches. This is my current Rolex collection: 118239, 14060, 16710, 116520.
I don't want to spend money needlessly in adding to my collection, if a price correction is looming in the near to medium term.
What do you think? Should I wait, buy now or continue collecting other brands?

If I had your collection, I'd be done with Rolex. You have all the greats already. My Rolex collection is exactly yours minus the 118239. What are you looking to buy to round out your collection?

If you are following the news and the watch forums, I think a correction is/will be coming. The question is by how much? I don't think prices will continue to increase exponentially in the near term, so it may be wise to wait and see what happens in the next 30 to 90 days.

If you love it and can afford it, buy it. Life is short and if prices go down initially then one day it’ll be vintage and go up again.

Given your interests, if it were me, I would likely buy now after doing my due diligence on pricing (and sellers of course). I don't think any of those are going to be super inflated, so you should be safe. But full disclosure, I have not been tracking those specific models, so can't be sure there isn't some inflated pricing baked in already that could deflate over the next 6 months if the economy, etc. take a turn.

I think the 114270 and 14270 continue to be relative sleepers. I’d grab one of those first.

I've seen lots of 16570's for sale recently in the 10-11k area, some really nice ones. White and black dial. Enjoy the hunt!

Buy now. You need more things to be happy. Prices are uncertain
