IMO, the 126755SARU is the nicest looking GMT Rolex has made

I don't get how SS is almost winning. The question is, if you had the option. People would still willingly pick SS with a standard black dial over friggin WG and Meteorite?? I don't understand the logic.

Why? Many people have no interest in gold watches.

Moreso than that, I find it hard to believe a standard black dial is just as sought after as meteorite. Especially when black is extremely prevalent and people more than likely have a black dial watch in their collection relative to meteorite.

If money's no object, of those three the blue dial. The meteorite is beautiful but has some legibility concerns. The blue is fantastic. But if my personal money is involved - stainless steel for this reference.

For me it'd have to be the one not on the list - the 116719BLRO (WG with the black dial and 3186 movement).

But for the purposes of the thread I voted 126710BLRO as IMHO the BLRO bezel only really works with the black dial.

Blue or black. Meteorite does nothing for me.

Black dial SS. Can’t stand the look of the light white rock on my dial. I know many love it, really don’t get it.

Blue dial!

Is the most logical choice. here is why:

1. You get the heft of gold (which personally I like) without looking obnoxious, as white gold looks similar to steel

2. You get a beautiful and very legible dark blue dial, which gives a unique factor, without, once again, being over the top. That blue can look either black or blue depending on light conditions, making the watch a true everyday piece.

only reason to choose the steel over the WG is if you really like the jubilee bracelet, I do, but not enough to say no to WG.

Meteorite looks good "on paper" but once I saw it in person it did not clicked to me like other Rolex meteorite pieces, with the best being the WG Daytona on oysterflex.

Which GMT would you pick if you had the option

Revisiting this post.

The one you get to take home from the AD

Such a perfect daily wearer

I had the option and decided on SS jubilee/BLNR.

i find it interesting that the SS variant is so close in the polls as the meteorite. I would have guessed that the meteorite would have been much higher than the SS

Meteorite is definitely rare, unique, expensive, beautiful, etc., and is hands down "better" in every respect than a plain black dial. However, I will flat out say it, I simply do not care for the look.

If an AD said I can buy a SS BLRO or a Meteorite version at the SS price, but that it would be a lifetime keeper and could NEVER sell it.....I would buy the SS version without a second thought.

Meteorite is overrated, Is a beautiful material, but in this it does nothing for the watch look wise other than being "rare"

If money was no object, the meteorite.

But in the real world, the difference is not worth the extra $30,000 to me.

So, SS it is.
