Noob question: is this a watch gasket?

Usually watch gaskets are black but is this by any chance a gasket too? It’s a fairly thick looking plastic and encircles the movement. I have circled part of it in blue below

Looks more like a delrin or nylon spacer to fill the gap twixt that movement and the larger case.

That’s a movement holding/spacer ring. Kinda sad to see it’s plastic in a holy trinity watch, but I guess there’s no practical reason it shouldn’t be.

Rolex would call it Oysterplas … or something along those lines

Much rougher finish work on the rotor and exposed metals than you’d expect. Also no decoration or bluing or anything on the screws.
