Rolex Warranty Service Experience
I sent my DateJust to Rolex Service in NYC, via the AD, for warranty repair; the rotor was not attached to the movement so the watch didn't wind automatically. The warranty card was included with the watch. I have now gotten the watch back, less the warranty card. Was not returning the warranty card to me an oversight on the part of Rolex? Do they retain the warranty card in case of getting the watch again? In the past, when I have submitted a watch for warranty repairs, the card is returned with the watch. Since the Service center has no public way to directly contact them (aside from postal mail), I'm asking the members of this forum for their experience. I have informed the AD as well, and they are working on it from their end. I'm just curious what other people's experience has been.
Thanks Mike |

I think it was an oversight. In March my 216570 had to go in for warranty work, though I went through the AD I bought it from, and I got my card back.

I would contact RSC asap as I don’t believe Rolex will issue a replacement card in the case that you lose it.

Do they have an email address or a phone number? I couldn't find anything but their physical address on their website. I'll write a letter tomorrow, but but email or phone would be much quicker. |

Does Rolex require the warranty card to be submitted when they receive the watch for a warranty repair/service? I mean, they know if the warranty is still in effect, because the warranty is activated by the AD when the watch is first sold. So why would they need the card?

Mike, You should have gotten a new 2 year warranty with the service.
They don’t have a phone number to contact? Ours in Toronto is super easy to ring up and talk to. |

Make sure it wasn't an oversight on the part of your AD. Perhaps, to prevent loss or misplacement at RSC, they kept it and forgot to give it back.
RSC does request either the card itself or a copy when sending in for service. |

I haven't found any contact information on their website other than their street address. Since the watch is new (two weeks at the time it was sent in), I would hope to retain the full, five year warranty.

It's likely an oversight. I've had two Rolex watches repaired under warranty. A Z Blue which the AD took a copy of the warranty car for and handed the original back to me, and an 116613LB which was sent in by my AD to the RSC with its warranty card and came back with it.

Possibly the card got into the wrong bin and has been sent to a different customer.
