the suede / nubuck with the 335 is a spectacular color combination
separately, as it became a topic later in the thread, I have a carbotech too. if you're curious about comparing and contrasting -- the carbotech is certainly lighter than the 335. it's so lightweight, however, that it doesn't feel particularly satisfying to put on, or as solid to wear. it does look pretty striking, up close (the carbon striation..) the one aspect I do prefer a bit more about that watch (and it's not a distinction due to the material, but more the case design and sapphire) is that it is a lot thinner in profile. due to a simpler movement (9010.. 3 day auto, no GMT), and lack of a domed crystal. |

Definitely interested in the comparison as the carbotech is what for me thinking of an all black watch. In fact, it was Mystro 661 that I had my sights set on. Then this came along. I then tried on at the Panerai dealer in Montreal the Luna Rosa and it didn’t sing to me. Which carbotech do you have? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Hi - I wound up getting the PAM1118; it's one of the 270 "limited edition" pieces in the carbotech series that have the lume integrated into the dial surround and the crownguard.
there's also a fibratech (PAM1119) and DLMS titanium (PAM1117) runs.. the text on the dial is also luminescent. Certainly an acquired taste to many, but it actually appealed to me. call me crazy... |

I saw a PAM335 at the Houston AD a few months ago that was paired with a Red Croco strap and I almost bought it. Love the way that black ceramic works with so many different strap options. Congratulations on getting the watch.

Thanks so much, I actually ordered a red Kyros strap that is ultra soft red nubuck/leather. Can not wait to get it. I am certainly starting to realize that this all black Panerai has a lot more options for strap colors than a SS version. |

The 335 is one of my favorites, although I slightly prefer the 317 as a more complicated variant (the K series "Dark Knight" with PVD movement is a want). I really like the uniqueness of the dome crystals & of course I love lightweight GMT watches for travel.

Had one before and regret selling it. The domed sapphire glass plus the sandwich dial is Panerai DNA and the ceramic case is just a winner for me.
