I purchased my 1680 white through an AD new in Phoenix back in the late 70's. Still have and wear that same watch although its at the RSC being serviced at the moment. Recently, I purchased a 16610 through a grey market seller. Wanted another classic sized Sub to share wrist time with my 1680. For older classic style Rolex watches a grey market seller is the most expeditious way of attaining a desired watch. I will admit that one usually pays a premium for the convenience but in my case it works.
