FS: 1970 Rolex 18K YG GMT-Master 1675 Glossy Brown Nipple Dial "Concord" with Papers

Serial #: 2274XXX

Description: Case: The thick and even 18k yellow gold case has recently been polished showing sharp prominent bevels and only very light wear from use. The bezel insert is also in excellent condition and has faded to a light coppery olive hue. The insert shows only very light wear from use. Dial: The early glossy brown nipple dial is excellent showing only very light wear for its age. The lume has aged to a vibrant golden hue and the early "Concorde" handset matches perfectly. Bracelet: New Shell cordovan leather strap with gold buckle Accessories: Papers. Notes: This very early 18k yellow gold GMT-Master takes center stage in arguably Rolex's most Iconic advertisement campaigns of all time. Though there were many variations of the "You'd wear a Rolex" campaign, none have been more lasting or more ubiquitous than the If You Were Flying the Concorde Tomorrow, You'd Wear a Rolex. Forever entangling the 18K yellow gold 1675 with the supersonic jet age, and international travel to far away destinations.
